Nice view of the water and conveniently located next to a park with a great playground. Good spot for a family outing. The food was fair, I had a pulled pork sandwich. They asked if I wanted the cole slaw and then forgot to include it. My parents in law split a chicken salad sandwich which looked alright. The veggies on it were fresh. I was impressed with the extensive menu which included salads along with the fried foods and sandwiches one would expect from a waterfront kiosk such as this. Outdoor seating only--the dining area was clean and patrolled by birds vigilant for a dropped crumb.

Usually pretty busy here on weekends, the food was always great but a little pricey. I try to stop by if im roaming around the boardwalk area.

If you walk the promenade beginning at the lighthouse, you'll find the Promenade Grille at the other end. We only stopped for ice cream, which was nothing fantastic (Hershey's), but did the trick. If you are standing and looking at the ordering window, you won't see the full ice cream menu (certainly not with prices), but if you glance around the corner - on the wall to your right - you'll find the menu posted there. The young woman who helped us initially was not at all friendly, but young man who handed us our treats was much nicer. This doesn't strike me as the place where I'd necessarily get a meal, but definitely a good spot for a snack - they were also advertising "Huge Piece of Watermelon - Only $1."

Crab cake sandwich was mediocre at best. It had too much filler and the roll was soggy. The cucumber salad tomatoes that seemed to be left over from last winter. I have been here before and the food was good. Very disappointed this time.

Excellent, casual spot by the Havre de Grace promenade with crab cakes that wowed us more than our more expensive lunch the day prior. We didn't try anything other than the crab cake, since that was the standard Chesapeake local special. And what a wise selection it was. The crab cakes were divine, big and meaty, with just a little breadcrumb, and grilled to tender, sweet perfection. They came on a Kaiser roll, with as many fixins as you desire-I ordered pickles, mushrooms, tomato, lettuce ...the Kaiser roll was soft and toasted so that it was crispy on the outside, the mushrooms were actually fresh and sautéed, the tomato a huge slab, the lettuce leaf instead of iceberg. You get a wedge of dill pickle with your order if you so desire. It was sandwich heaven when slathered with ketchup, horseradish, and tartar sauce. I had the sauces on the side and tasted the crab cake without the sauce...oh sweet juiciness defined. We didn't even envy the people in the park area who came with their own barbecue. Indeed, we were staring at each other, wondering if we could fit in another crab cake sandwich. Were we discussing gluttony prior..we certainly couldn't remember. You place your order in one window and then collect at the pickup window. The Promenade Grill has a seating area by in front, with chairs and tables under umbrellas. My advice, find a chair or grassy turf under a tree and dine al fresco. Your view will be better and the breeze will cool you. You can people watch or boat watch or just listen to ocean song. A good meal, with a great view and wonderful company will have you remembering that life is good. We didn't try the other specials but based on what we saw, if you don't want your seafood heavily breaded, stick to the grilled stuff. It appears that Chesapeake style fried seafood means shrimp butterflied and pounded thin and oysters and shrimp overly breaded until you taste more coating then seafood. Prices at the grill are reasonable to downright cheap..$1.50 for the hotdog, $8.25 for the crab sandwich. They have an assortment of iced drinks too...from iced cappuccinos in various flavors to iced frosty slush drinks. The fresh lemonade was sweet with a nice tartness and the sweet tea sweet as they do in the South. And they don't rip you off by giving you tons of ice and no liquid. Hey, you have to love a joint that sellsn sell fresh brown egss from a local farm. There is even Hershey's ice cream to finish off your meal. So If you don't want to haul food to have a picnic at the Havre de Grace waterfront or just visiting, the Promenade Grill is a good alternative.

Not fine dining but good food and fun location. Had pan seared redfish with maple apple slaw, fish could have been spicer but slaw was excellent and a good amount . Burgers good and ice cream desserts, floats, cones , shakes. Water view and great Weather didn't hurt. I would do it again!

Love this place. You can't get better ambiance!! Food is consistently good, service is friendly and fast. The prices are a little steep for the kind of food you get. Paying for the views but this place is a true gem to have when playing at the park or walking the boardwalk.

We actually lunched twice here last week. The first time was an impromptu lunch when we stopped at the park. My Mom was with me and we ordered Chicken Fingers and Fries. I know, not an amazing meal but it's an outside eatery what did you expect. We sat on the deck overlooking the water. The atmosphere was just great. Our lunch was quick to the table. The chicken fingers were cooked through and really good. The fries were not over done or underdone. They were just right. We were very pleased with our lunch. So when it was time for our annual Mother's Day picnic we decided to go there. So my mom, my girls and me set out for the day. We decided this time splurge and get Crab cake sandwiches. Havre De Grace is known for two things, decoys and crab cakes. You can't get a bad crab cake in Havre de Grace, or so we thought. The crab meat was claw meat, and it had fillers. I hate fillers. As if that wasn't bad enough the crab cake was very small and the kaiser roll was big. So you got more bread than anything. Even my 12 year old said " We paid 10.95 for this?" Granted you got hush puppies, one side and a drink but it still wasn't worth it. The hush puppies are served with honey butter and would have been great if they had been done on the inside. The outside was a wonderful golden brown, the inside was mush. My mom got the Fries again and again they were good. My oldest thought they were good to. My youngest daughter got Onion Rings and said they were fabulous. She was also smart and got the Chicken Tenders. So we had one really great meal and one really bad one. My suggestion is if you want a crab cake go somewhere else. If you want great sandwiches, chicken fingers and a seat right next to the water come here. Just stay away from the hush puppies. The few people I talked to said they are always like that.

We were first timers for the Grille.I wanted to sit outside but since I have a walker I was unable to sit on their deck because it is not handicapped accessible. So we sat on a bench on the water which was lovely. I was pleasantly surprised I ordered the Harbormaster which was a perfectly cooked angus burger grilled zucchini(delicious) French fries with the skin ( just ok) and these perfect little hushpuppies with honey butter which I will go back for. The food was perfectly cooked and the only negative is I could not sit on the deck. We are going to make it a weekly stop after work. You can't go wrong and the view is beautiful.
